The driver will set how the hole will be played and it will be the factor of if you do well. Now a golf drive can make a hold easy or hard and this can be the major golf problem. The drive is really to setup the second shot and for some its for bragging rights. When hitting off the tee you don't always have to use the driver but you can use a iron.
